A beautifully preserved Balenciaga Brogues Giant 12 City in the striking Rose Thulian colourway, crafted in Balenciaga’s signature soft and intentionally distressed lambskin leather.
Slouchy, lightweight and unmistakably Balenciaga, this is a particularly special interpretation of the iconic City silhouette — combining the house’s cult Motorcycle shape with the distinctive Brogues detailing and Giant 12 hardware.

THE BAG STORY
Few bags capture the spirit of Balenciaga under Nicolas Ghesquière quite like the City. Its relaxed shape, lightweight construction and deliberately distressed leather helped turn the Motorcycle line into one of the defining bags of the 2000s.
This example is even more distinctive: the Brogues Giant 12 variation adds perforated, brogue-inspired leather detailing to the familiar City silhouette, giving the bag a more unusual and collectible finish than the classic version.
Finished in Rose Thulian, a rich pink colourway from the era, this particular combination is increasingly difficult to come across — especially in such beautifully preserved condition and with such an extensive set of original accompanying pieces.
The soft distressed leather was designed to develop character rather than remain perfectly uniform, which is part of the appeal of vintage Balenciaga. Paired with the Brogues detailing and Giant 12 hardware, the result feels distinctly archival while remaining remarkably easy to wear today.
Finding a Brogues Giant 12 City in Rose Thulian, particularly one this well preserved and accompanied by its strap, mirror, original leather swatch, Balenciaga cards and tags, makes this a very special piece for collectors of Nicolas Ghesquière-era Balenciaga.
CONDITION DISCLAIMER
In very good pre-loved condition.
The distressed leather remains beautifully soft and supple, with some light, age-appropriate signs of wear throughout. Any surface variation, creasing or slight rubbing is subtle and also consistent with Balenciaga’s intentionally distressed leather finish.
There are some normal signs of wear to the leather, handles and hardware, but these are minimal and not particularly noticeable during wear. The overall colour and finish remain very nicely presented.
The interior is clean and well maintained, with only minimal signs of previous use. Zip closures function properly. Overall, this is a beautifully preserved example of the iconic Balenciaga City and presents exceptionally well for a pre-loved piece of its era.
