Once Dear is an independent Australian retailer specialising in curated pre-loved and vintage luxury and designer goods.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products sold through Once Dear are pre-owned and may display signs of age, previous use and wear.
Once Dear is an independent reseller. We are not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected with any of the designers or brands whose products are offered for resale through our store.
All brand names, trademarks, logos and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

By placing an order, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Pre-Loved & Vintage Goods
Once Dear specialises in pre-loved and vintage luxury goods.
Due to the nature and history of these pieces, products should not be expected to be in brand-new condition unless expressly described as such.
Depending on the individual item, signs of age and previous use may include, but are not limited to:
- scratches, scuffs and rubbing;
- creasing or shape changes;
- staining, spots or marks;
- fading or discolouration;
- tarnishing or oxidation;
- hardware wear or scratches;
- corner, edge or base wear;
- interior or lining wear;
- leather, canvas, textile or material variations;
- signs associated with storage or previous use; and
- other imperfections reasonably associated with the item’s age, materials and pre-owned condition.
We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and describe each item’s condition and to identify significant signs of wear or known imperfections.
However, due to the nature of pre-owned and vintage products, minor signs of wear or imperfections may not always be individually identified or clearly visible in photographs.
Customers are strongly encouraged to carefully inspect all photographs and read the complete product description, measurements and condition report before purchasing.
Photographs form an important part of each item’s condition information.
Where a particular defect, imperfection or condition has been clearly disclosed in the photographs, product description or condition report before purchase, that disclosure forms part of the condition and description of the product being purchased.

5. Authenticity
Authenticity is fundamental to Once Dear.
All designer products offered for sale by Once Dear are independently third-party authenticated prior to being listed for sale.
Depending on the item, authentication may be completed through an independent authentication provider such as (but not limited to):
- Legit App;
- Entrupy;
- LegitGrails;
The authentication provider may vary depending on the brand, product category and individual item.
Where applicable, information regarding the authentication of an item may be included in the relevant product listing.
Where an authentication certificate, digital certificate, report or other authentication documentation is included with the sale, this will generally be identified in the product listing.
Third-party authentication providers are independent businesses. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Once Dear is not affiliated with, controlled by, sponsored by or endorsed by these authentication providers.
Similarly, authentication by an independent third party does not imply affiliation between Once Dear and the original designer or brand.
Once Dear is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the designer brands whose products we offer for resale.

6. Product Descriptions, Photographs & Colours
We make reasonable efforts to ensure our product descriptions, photographs, measurements and condition information are accurate and provide customers with a fair representation of each item.
Because most Once Dear pieces are individually sourced pre-loved or vintage items, photographs in a product listing generally depict the actual item being offered for sale, unless expressly stated otherwise.
We encourage you to inspect all available photographs carefully, including photographs showing signs of wear or imperfections.
Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, your device, monitor or screen settings and other factors outside our reasonable control.
If the precise colour, condition, size or another characteristic of an item is important to your purchasing decision, please contact us before purchasing.

8. Pricing
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices may change without notice before an order is accepted.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure pricing information is accurate. However, genuine typographical, technical or pricing errors may occasionally occur.
Where an obvious error affects an order, we may contact you before fulfilment to explain the issue and provide appropriate options, subject to applicable law.

9. Availability
Many Once Dear pieces are unique, vintage or available in a quantity of one.
Adding an item to your shopping cart does not reserve that item.
On rare occasions, an item may become unavailable after an order has been submitted, including because of simultaneous purchases, inventory discrepancies or another genuine availability issue.
If we cannot fulfil an order for an unavailable item after payment has been received, we will notify you and provide an appropriate refund.

10. Orders & Acceptance
By submitting an order through www.shoponcedear.com, you are offering to purchase the selected product or products subject to these Terms.
Orders are subject to availability, payment authorisation and acceptance by Once Dear.
We may reasonably decline or cancel an order before dispatch where, for example:

- there is an obvious pricing or listing error;
- payment cannot be authorised or verified;
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity;
- the shipping information provided is invalid or insufficient;

If we cancel an order after receiving payment, any amount you are entitled to have returned will be refunded to the original payment method.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available through our checkout.

Due to the nature and value of luxury goods, certain transactions may be subject to reasonable fraud-prevention or security verification before dispatch.
We may contact you to verify information associated with an order where reasonably necessary for payment security, fraud prevention or delivery security. Dispatch may be delayed while reasonable verification is being completed.

12. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
Please choose carefully before purchasing.
Due to the unique, pre-loved and vintage nature of our inventory, Once Dear does not accept cancellations, returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind.
This includes circumstances where you:
- change your mind after purchasing;
- decide that an item does not suit you;
- no longer want or need the item;
- find the same or a similar item elsewhere;
- did not carefully review the item’s measurements; or
- did not carefully review the photographs, product description or disclosed condition before purchasing.
Our complete terms concerning returns, cancellations, faulty or significantly misdescribed products and refunds are contained in our Returns & Cancellations Policy.
Nothing in these Terms or our Returns & Cancellations Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Shipping & Delivery
Once Dear ships within Australia and to selected international destinations via Australia Post.
We offer free shipping within Australia on orders over AUD $500.
Orders under AUD $500 are subject to the applicable shipping fee displayed at checkout. Orders may be sent using tracked delivery, and higher-value orders may require signature on delivery or other available delivery safeguards.

14. International Orders
International customers are responsible for checking whether an item may legally be imported into their destination country.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, handling fees or other charges imposed by the destination country’s authorities.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee charged by Once Dear and, where applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
Once Dear is not responsible for customs processing times or delays caused by customs or border authorities outside our reasonable control.

By voluntarily submitting User Content directly to Once Dear or through functionality provided on our website, you grant Once Dear a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to reproduce, display and use that content for reasonable business and promotional purposes, including displaying customer reviews on our website or social media.
Where reasonably practicable, you may contact us at info@shoponcedear.com if you would like us to stop using customer content you previously submitted for promotional purposes.
We may moderate or remove User Content where reasonably necessary because it breaches these Terms, applicable law or another person’s rights.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and view our website and Once Dear Content for your personal, non-commercial use.

Designer names, logos, trademarks and other intellectual property displayed in connection with products offered for resale remain the property of their respective owners.
Their appearance on our website is solely for purposes such as identifying, describing and offering genuine pre-owned products for resale and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation with Once Dear.

The fact that an item is pre-loved or vintage does not automatically remove applicable consumer guarantees.
However, when determining what can reasonably be expected from a pre-owned product, matters such as the item’s age, price, disclosed condition and any defects or imperfections disclosed before purchase may be relevant.
This is why we encourage every customer to carefully review the complete listing, condition report and all photographs before purchasing.
